is like donating to a very good cause.....

..... it is in perfect condition too .....

and how cute does it look
with the cupcake box I got from Simone?

I am dreaming of tea and
raisin scones for breakfast on
the weekend....
with my new tea cup treasure!

~ Accidental Treasures & a Gorgeous Gift ~

I went shopping yesterday
and stumbled across some pretty treasures...

but first I want to show
you a gorgeous gift...

from the lovely Pam (Bayside Rose) ...
thank you Pam, you are so talented,
I love my beautiful vintage styled fabric heart!
Every time I look at it it reminds
me of our wonderful lunch!

and... I think it looks perfect with my
accidental treasures....

this is so typical of me....
I went into Domain to look at
over-priced furniture and to get ideas
for the new house (we move in
two & a half weeks).....

and came out with vintage style
glass bottles (these) with sweet wire handles,

these paper lanterns, which will look cute with
my red and white spotty ones, as well as some
sweet cup cake papers......

and then I went into The Reject Shop
for stickers for my class,
and came out with a white wire birdcage
(which I think will go outside
and I'll put some plants in it)
for just $15 and some more
little bottles with french labels on.....

so then I went into a charity store
to look for chairs....
and came out with a gorgeous
pink rose china tea cup
(which needs its own post!),
a hot pink woollen blanket
(which has already been washed
and dried and will be cut up for
some Easter projects) and
the pretty crystal bowl (above).

Hmmmm.... and I didn't get anything
I was actually looking for....
have you ever had one of these days?
I am sure I am not the only one!

Hope you are having a lovely weekend!

I have just linked this post
to the lovely Debbie's Newbie Party....

I think....
it is my first attempt at
linking to a party
and it took me a while
to figure out how to do it!

~ Cookie Pop Giftbox ~

I wanted to take a hostess gift
to the gorgeous Simone
who was hosting lunch today....

and as I am cookie pop mad
at the moment, I thought I'd do
her and Jody a special batch...

I just needed something pretty
to put them in....
so I started out with a
paper mache box from Spotlight.

I painted the outside blue....

and cut some wrapping
paper for the top....

and some scrapbooking paper for the lining...

I had a fresh batch of heart cookie pops
(with musk icing) ready to place inside....

they looked so pretty!!!!!

and fitted just perfectly!

I also made some flower
cookie pops for Jody
(yes, I just had to go and
buy the other shapes!)

which I decorated with musk icing
and a pretty icing rose in the centre....

and I made her a sweet little
gift bag too....

I printed a birds nest tag
from a Graphics Fairy image..

and my hostess gift was ready!

We had such a lovely lunch,
the setting was divine
and the company was fantastic.
What a truly wonderful way
 to spend the afternoon...

Thank you for spoiling us Simone!

~ Martha Stewart's Cookies ~

If you love baking cookies....
(I'm doing a bit of a review today!)

...and you have an iPad, then
Martha Stewart's Cookies
is such a good investment!

I LOVE this app.
There are loads of cookies,
they are easy to make,
the pictures are divine,
there is even videos
embedded in recipes to
demonstrate how to do things
and (possibly my favourite thing)
packaging ideas with links
to get emails of the templates!

On the weekend I made
her chocolate almond crackles....

the dough was gorgeous....

and after chilling it you roll
the balls of dough in caster,
then icing sugar....

then bake them
so the surface crackles.....

and, yes.....
they taste as good as they look!

Hope you are having a happy week!

~ Heart Cookie Pops ~

What better treat could there
be for a sleepover?

... than heart shaped cookie pops?

all you need is a
batch of cookie dough.....

and a cookie pop pan
(available in SL).
You press the cookie
dough in to the tray
and slide in some sticks
(now also available at SL)....

bake them to the directions
of your mix...

and let them cool before
decorating them....
I opted for an easy icing & sprinkles.

Then to keep them fresh...
I covered them with a cello bag
and tied them with a ribbon!

Cute huh?

What a sweet treat!

Wouldn't they be great for parties
and school fetes too?

I can see myself
investing in pans in other
shapes because they are so easy
to make and so very
pretty to look at!
