~ Linen, Lace & Lovely Ladies ~

I have had the most wonderful day....
filled with linen, lace and the most lovely ladies!

I met my totally gorgeous bloggy friends
Linda (Lilly Cottage) & Pam (Bayside Rose)
on Mount Tamborine for the most scrummy day....
you must visit Pam to see what we got up to!!!!!
(I knew her pictures would be much better than mine!)
We had such a fantastic time,
filled with craft, vintage & fab food!
I can't wait to show you what I bought...
only I haven't taken any photos of anything yet!

so instead I am going to share with you the
most delightful discovery I made on the way home!
It is Felicity's Vintage & Cafe!
(16 Macdonnell Rd, Eagle Heights)

If you need vintage sewing supplies
for that perfect vintage sewing project.....
then you just have to visit Felicity!

Her collection of vintage buttons is amazing!

She has stunning trims and lace.....

not to mention velvet ribbons.....

as well as appliques....

are you in a swoon yet?????
If not .... keep looking!!!!!!

Felicity has such a gorgeous selection....

and not just of sewing supplies....

she has kitchenware and
some really lovey vintage clothes too....

Plus a wonderful cafe too!
Imagine drinking coffee amongst
all that gorgeousness!

I just loved my visit to Felicity's on the way home,
(I bought a treasure I can't wait to show off as well)
it just finished off my perfect day...so perfectly!
She is the most lovely lady, so if you visit her,
tell her you are a friend of mine and ask
to see her beautiful lace and trims...
they are not all out on display....

I know I will be back there very soon!

~ Baby Blue Cockatoos ~

I have been making cushions
for my living room....

I went to Brisbane last week to
have a coffee with the lovely Pam
(Bayside Rose) at the WAC and then
to Simone's (Beach Vintage)
to buy some material...
I chose the beautiful baby blue cockatoos
and some pretty French blue ticking.

I made a some big square
cushions and some rectangular
cushions too...

What do you think of my coffee table?
My sanding belt broke mid-makeover...
I was going to sand it back a bit more...
but it is growing on me!

I also made up this little Eiffel tower
cushion from scraps in my stash....

I had fun making the seams inside
out and then fringing them...

.....which then gave me some practise to
do another project that I will share very soon!

I still need to replace the carpet in the
living area, but it is starting to come together nicely....

Back to school in the morning....
and debating starts tomorrow
for my Miss Tiff,
so some big days ahead!

I have just linked to the wonderful
at freckled laundry!

Have a great week lovely ladies!

~ Easter Cookie Pops! ~

You know how I love
to bake cookie pops....

well....I decided to give them
as gifts this year instead of
chocolate Easter eggs...

I baked my cookie pops
as usual (see HERE)
and got busy with the decorations....

I used storebought fondant
(Coles or Woolies has it)
and cut bunny shapes
before colouring it to make tails
and coloured bunnies....

I used an icing pen
to dot on some eyes....

I set up the children with the
leftover fondant (like I do at Christmas!)
and they created all sorts of
special Easter decorations...

they love to play with the fondant,
and this would be suitable for
children of all ages....

I iced my cookie pops,
decorated them,
then sprinkled them with sanding sugar.

I also used some chics
I bought at the cake decorating store.

Then I packaged them
ready to post to my family!

The children made these love bunnies
for their Grandma!

What a cute Easter chick!

I have to thank my lovely friend
Kim who saves me boxes...
see Kim, I did put them to good use!

I hope you also get a chance
to do some Easter baking!

~ Loving Atlantis ~

If you are wondering what on
earth Atlantis might be.....

well....
it is one of the new Porter's Paint
chalkboard colours!

I got a tad excited when I saw it....
I was planning to make my
tip shop frame into a chalkboard
(click HERE to see it's makeover!)
for my new dining room and
had originally intended to use black...

but I couldn't resist this lovely
Atlantis blue!

I had such fun
writing up a breakfast menu.....

 although I haven't hung it
up on the wall yet....

I love it!

Happy Tuesday!

~ The Key to Getting Cozy ~

Well my lovely friends,
I am finally in my new home........

I have unpacked
lots of boxes...

but there are many more
still to go.....

I have uncovered lots
of my special treasures......

and warmed up the bare walls
(I haven't even started
hanging pictures yet)
with the dancing shadows of
my gorgeous lamps,
and scented candles........

you may notice that my
linen birds have a new home
for now too...
(you'll see why very soon!)

I am beyond exhausted...

and we don't have a proper
internet connection,
or a very good wireless signal,
and there is so much still to do.......

yet I am extremely contented......

because I know that it doesn't
really matter where I might be,
or what treasures I have around me.......
the key to a cozy home
is just having my family with me!

Today I am linking to

at the lovely
French Country Cottage

Happy Weekend!
