~ Rustic Grey Chalkboard Hearts ~

I went a little heart happy
just before Valentines Day
and this is one of my creations.....

I got a lovely lady to
custom mix me a pretty
grey Porters chalkboard paint
and it turned out beautifully!
I bought the hearts pre cut
and drilled my own holes
after I painted them.
I also added some rusty wire
to hang them......

I also made a BIG version
which I did cut myself,
I'll take a picture when I decide where
I'm going to put it!

Hope you are having a great week
and are nowhere near as busy as me!

(I am off to do some year three
maths lesson planning now...
doesn't that sound fun!!!!)

I just made a pattern up from copying the
style I liked from some felt owls
 in google images......
you could find a template if you looked I am sure.
I like the contrast of the retro style fabric
on the felt bodies and I had fun
embroidering their wings and faces.

These sweet friends now keep me
and my class company each day!

Happy Week!
